Welcome to One Bite to Wellness — I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m Annie Harriman: Functional Diagnostic Nutrition® Practitioner (FDN-P) and mom living on the South Shore of Massachusetts with my husband, our toddler, and our cavapoo, Charlie.


Like many of my clients, I spent years searching for answers to symptoms that didn’t fit neatly into a diagnosis. After battling long-term fatigue and strange symptoms post-mono — and bouncing between doctors and “normal” labs — I finally found clarity through functional health. That’s when everything changed.


Eventually, I was diagnosed with celiac disease and POTS — and I’ve been managing both through a holistic, root-cause approach ever since. That journey inspired me to become an FDN-P, so I could offer others the kind of support I once needed.


At One Bite to Wellness, I offer personalized wellness plans grounded in functional lab testing, whole-body support, and 1:1 support. Whether you’re struggling with symptoms like bloating, fatigue, hormone shifts, or weight that won’t budge — or you’re simply ready to feel like yourself again — I’m here to help you get to the root and feel good in your body again.


When I’m not supporting clients, you’ll find me in a barre, pilates, or group strength class, exploring coffee shops and walking the beach with my family, or cooking up gluten-free meals at home. I believe food, movement, sunshine, and lifestyle are powerful tools — and when used with intention, they can help you thrive.

  • Why did you start One Bite to Wellness?

    One Bite to Wellness started as One Bite Gluten-Free in 2019, initially as a way to share my journey of living with celiac disease. Over time, my passion for functional nutrition and understanding the root causes of health challenges grew, leading me to become a certified Functional Diagnostic Nutrition® Practitioner (FDNP).


    As a mom, fitness enthusiast, and advocate for functional health and wellness, I wanted to create a space that goes beyond recipes and wellness tips. One Bite to Wellness is now a platform where I empower others to take a deeper look at their health. Through personalized guidance, functional lab testing, and a comprehensive approach to healing, I help clients uncover hidden stressors and restore balance.

  • What is functional nutrition and how does it relate to celiac disease?

    Functional nutrition takes a personalized, whole-body approach to health by understanding how food impacts your unique biology. It’s not about following a one-size-fits-all diet — it’s about using nutrition as a tool to support your body’s natural ability to heal and thrive.


    As a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition® Practitioner (FDNP), I work with clients to uncover hidden stressors, identify nutrient imbalances, and create sustainable dietary changes tailored to their needs. Rather than simply masking symptoms, we focus on addressing the root causes and building long-term wellness through intentional nutrition and lifestyle choices.

  • What can I expect from working with you?

    When working with us, you can expect to make significant progress in improving your diet, lifestyle, and overall wellness. Our approach is designed to support general healing by addressing root causes and imbalances identified through lab results, history, and your unique needs. We focus on a holistic approach to wellness, helping you find balance in all areas of life. While we are committed to supporting you every step of the way, it’s important to understand that the level of success you experience will depend on your commitment to the process and willingness to make the necessary changes. We can’t do the work for you, but we’ll be your biggest advocate and provide you with the tools, guidance, and support to help you succeed.


    Please note that while FDNPs have seen thousands of clients achieve profound healing and improvements through our model, individual results can vary, and there are no guarantees. The path to wellness is unique to each person, and your journey will be shaped by your own effort and consistency. Additionally, we are not diagnosing or treating specific health conditions, but rather supporting general well-being through holistic practices.

  • How does your experience with celiac disease influence your approach?

    My journey to a celiac diagnosis wasn’t straightforward. Before getting sick, I was working out daily, eating well, and feeling strong. But after contracting mono, everything changed. Chronic fatigue, lingering symptoms, and rising autoimmune markers made it nearly impossible to get back into fitness, no matter how much I wanted to.


    I was passed from specialist to specialist, with no one addressing the root cause. Eventually, through physical therapy and a renewed focus on supporting my body through nutrition and lifestyle changes, I slowly rebuilt my strength. Prioritizing foundational health made all the difference — and it’s why I’m so passionate about what I do today.


    As a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition® Practitioner, I work with clients to uncover hidden stressors and build a personalized plan to support their overall health. While I don’t diagnose or treat any specific conditions, I focus on supporting the body’s natural ability to function optimally. Whether you’re dealing with unexplained symptoms or navigating a diagnosis, functional nutrition can empower you to feel your best.
